The Hobson Bay city council commissioned a new recreational pool for the Altona Leisure Centre, Melbourne.

Due to the strong chemical nature of chlorine-based pool water, Xypex Admix C-Series was utilised effectively for protection of the steel reinforcement within the insitu concrete.

Xypex Admix C-Series provides increased chemical protection and impermeability to the concrete, therefore enhancing concrete durability. The advantage of using Xypex Admix C-Series within the pre-mix concrete allows the original non-slip concrete finish to be retained without the requirement of surface applied treatments.

Xypex Admix C-Series was dosed into the concrete of the pool concourses, toilets, wet areas, plant rooms and balance tanks.
