Central on Maud is located in the Qld seaside town of Maroochydore and comprises a suite of commercial offices.
Due to the close proximity of the waterline to the basement and the presence of harsh marine elements, waterproofing of the concrete basement and surrounds was imperative.
Xypex Admix C-series was added to Silica Fume and sprayed as a shotcrete application onto all basement walls. A Xypex and Silica Fume blend provides additional durability, excellent cohesion to the steel reinforcing and a self-healing capability for the structure. Additionally, Xypex Admix C-series was dosed into the basement slab. Joint details were completed with a Xypex Concentrate/ Kuniseal C-31 DS waterstop detail.
