Fosterville Gold Mine: VIC, Australia

Chemical Resistance and Concrete Durability was the main priority of the client - Perseverance Corporation, in the design of the Crushing / Processing Plant for the Fosterville Gold Mine.

The acidic nature of the chemicals used to flush the gold from the mined product, and the sulphates in the natural soil of the region, combined for an aggressive environment for new concrete structures.

Approximately 300 cubic metres of Xypex Admix C-Series was supplied via Mawsons Concrete to provide the necessary chemical protection to the structure.
