Nunawading Aquatic Centre: Melbourne, Australia

Waterproofing and Chemical Resistance were the main priority of the client - Whitehorse City Council, in the design of the new concrete concourses, tiered seating, disabled ramps, plant rooms & planter boxes of the recently refurbished Nunawading Aquatic Centre.

Xypex Admix C1000NF was used to provide waterproofed concrete in all areas where frequent hosing down of the concrete occurs .

MP & P repair mortar was used to patch and provide waterproofing around the electrical conduits and drainage penetrations of the pool structure.

Xypex Concentrate was used in all construction joints of the pool structure. Xypex Concentrate and Kuniseal C-31 waterstop was used in construction joints for the disabled ramps, planter boxes and plant rooms. Approximately 450 cubic metres of Xypex Admix C1000NF was supplied via XL Concrete. Waterproofing and Chemical Resistance were the priority in the design of the new concrete concourses and associated facilities of the Nunawading Aquatic Centre.
