Telstra Tower: Tasmania

This concrete tower was built under extreme conditions.

The construction method was a 'slip form', with high strength concrete. During construction, some areas of 'rock pockets' and 'boney concrete' developed and were in need of repair.

Xypex Concentrate and Xypex Patch 'n Plug were used to repair all defective areas. Xypex Concentrate coating was then applied over the entire tower to protect the concrete from the harsh environmental conditions, in particular, deterioration through freezer thaw cycles.
