V/Line Train Wash, Melbourne

Almost 700 kgs of Xypex Admix C-Series were applied as a waterproofing and durability enhancing additive to the concrete used in the pre-cast panels of this high-tech, automated train washing facility, constructed at V/Line's Dynon Rail Yard, adjacent to Melbourne's CBD.

Xypex Admix was specified to protect the panels from both the high pressure, highly abrasive water flows of the cleaning systems, as well as the aggressive cleaning chemicals used.

The facility has been designed to totally contain all aspects of cleaning operations, including tight control of wastes, so as to ensure that there is no impairment of the environment.
