Xypex Admix C-Series is a specialty product that is blended into the concrete at the time of batching. It outperforms most other methods because of its unique ability to become an integral part of the concrete matrix. A substantial research program was undertaken at the The Australian Centre for Construction Innovation of the University of New South Wales. - Xypex Improves Concrete Durability & Impermeability
Reduction of concrete permeability is one of the key factors to improved durability of concrete structures. By blocking the intrusion of water into concrete, Xypex crystalline technology provides protection to the concrete both as an internal or/and external application.  

- Xypex Is Capable Of Self-Healing Cracks Up To 0.4mm
Xypex can seal hairline cracks up to 0.4 mm. With moisture as the catalyst, Xypex’s proprietary chemicals react with the products of cement hydration to form a non-soluble complex within the pores, voids and capillary tracts of the concrete mass.

- Xypex Provides Chloride Protection In Marine Environments
Xypex crystalline technology prevents ingress of water, salt solutions and many aggressive chemicals in both new and remedial applications.  Xypex permits the concrete to 'breathe’ out existing moisture vapour whilst excluding the entry of further solutions.

- Xypex Resists Extreme Hydrostatic Pressure
Xypex resists extreme hydrostatic pressure from either the positive or negative surface of the concrete slab. Because Xypex is not dependent upon adhesion to the concrete surface and instead becomes an integral part of the concrete mass, it is capable of resisting extreme hydrostatic pressure from either side (positive or negative) of the concrete.

- Xypex Resists Aggressive Chemicals
By preventing the penetration of aggressive chemicals, Xypex helps control the problems of sulphate attack, leaching, alkali-aggregate reaction, carbonation, and corrosion.Because Xypex is pH specific (not chemical specific) it will protect concrete from any chemical whose pH range is 3.0 to 11.0 constant contact, or 2.0 to 12.0 periodic contact.

- Xypex Is Permanent – and will increase service life of the concrete.
Xypex can be trusted to perform to original specifications throughout the life of the concrete. The Xypex treatment, unlike most other systems, becomes a permanent part of the concrete matrix. Its unique dendritic crystalline growth will not deteriorate under normal conditions and the crystalline process will reactivate whenever water is present.

- Better Project & Cost Control - Xypex crystalline technology is less costly to apply than most other waterproofing methods. Using Xypex Admix C-Series means that the waterproofing and pouring of concrete occur simultaneously. This means that Engineers and Contractors can exert much better control over the waterproofing production schedule.
