Xypex Megamix II mine infrastructure

The Area C tracked workshop is used for the loading of D10 dozers, which is also the entrance and exit to the workshop. The original slab edge which has rail line inserts in the concrete were caught by the caterpillar track edge of the D10 dozers and hence the rail line inserts were torn out.

Kerman Contracting required a reputable product with high build & high strength characteristics, and selected Xypex Megamix II to assist in rectification of the entry/exit slab. Megamix II is a high build repair mortar for the patching and resurfacing of deteriorated concrete.

Megamix II has been specially formulated to produce superior bond, low shrinkage, chemical durability and high strength. It is a one-component mortar and can be spray or trowel applied at a thickness of 10mm to 50mm. The high performance characteristics of Megamix II are enhanced by the unique Xypex crystalline waterproofing and protection technology. Megamix II will reach approximately 60 mpa within 28 days of application.
