Xypex Admix was approved for use in the MRT by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) of Singapore during the construction of the MRT Northeast Line Contract 706 project.
The criteria leading to Xypex Admix being the preferred choice, amidst waterproofing membranes and other waterproofing admixtures, was its superior concrete durability and waterproofing performance, and ease of use in construction.
Xypex was used as a stand-alone waterproofing system to the underground construction of the link between Little India and Farrer Park MRT stations in this Bukit Timah Subway project. The base slabs, walls and roof were treated with Xypex Admix C-Series in the premix concrete during casting.
Construction joints were treated with one coat of Xypex Concentrate slurry in between pour to ensure a watertight underground structure at all times.
