Meander Dam Mini Hydro

Meander Dam has a capacity of 43,000 megalitres. The dam's main function is to provide valuable irrigation supplies to the surrounding farmland.

The dam was constructed using the RCC (roller compacted concrete) method, with upstream and downstream precast concrete panels.

A 1.9 megawatt Francis Turbine Mini Hydro Power Station, was built at the foot of the dam wall. The station will operate with a range of 21 to 42 metre head of water, with flow rates between 190 and 475 megalitres per day.

Xypex Admix C-1000 NF was incorporated into the concrete mix to provide protection and extended service life to the concrete.
