Melbourne Zoo, Trail of Elephants

Xypex Admix C-Series was included in the shotcrete design mix for the new Elephant Pool enclosure at Melbourne Zoo.

In excess of 160m of shotcrete and insitu concrete was dosed with Xypex Admix C-Series in the Elephant Pool and the balance tank for the Trail of Elephants enclosure at Melbourne Zoo.

Xypex Admix C-Series is classified as a microstructure modifier which reduces concrete permeability through crystallisation activity in concrete pores. It has the ability to greatly reduce water penetration and also impart good resistance to chemical attack in concrete.
