Our commitment to extending the service life and increasing the durability performance of concrete structures is paramount in our mission to a ‘Whole of Life’ philosophy in the construction industry. It was great to see Xypex specified in a Return to Service planning project, where remediation was required on deteriorating water assets, with specific consideration given to the needs of the project circumstances and the environment.

This week the Xypex offices have been hosting their Biggest Morning Teas! Great effort from all the teams and a fantastic amount of donations to support such a worthwhile charity.

Last week Xypex Australia were on site providing a Level 3 Assessment for a 69-year-old water tank.

This month, sit down with Rob Godson as he talks us through Xypex Australia’s first major export and how Xypex Thailand began.

Xypex Australia are currently undertaking works in a major tunnel project where our Xypex Admix C5000 is being used for its anti-carbonation protection benefits in pre-cast panels, exposed to extremely aggressive environments.

The project had very tight performance criteria and after a number of independent tests were conducted, Xypex Admix C5000 was chosen for its superior performance capabilities.

A whole of life approach was adopted, with a view to provide a system without extensive ongoing maintenance costs. Xypex’s high-performance permeability reducing admixture provided reduced; construction times, risks associated with human application and the significant cost associated with physical barrier systems that are often adopted in these environments.
